Love Does Not Insist on Its Own Way

Before Jesus goes to the Cross, he kneels in a garden and prays. He prays human things: If there’s another way, let this hour pass. He prays divine things: Yet not what I want, but what you want.

Ultimately, Jesus insists on God’s way. That’s what love is. It’s insisting on God’s way. Love does not insist on its own way, as Paul, the writer of 1 Corinthians said.

Can we be like Jesus and insist on God’s way? What happens if we do?
