What do you get when you add 2+2+2+2+2+2? This is an easy enough question, right? In the same way, what do you get when you add up the concepts of 1 Corinthians 13? In other words what do you get if you add love is patient+love is kind+love is not envious, boastful, arrogant or rude+love is not resentful+love does not insist on its own way and so on?
Do we care? Do we care what all this talk about love amounts to? Sometimes it seems like we’d rather just talk about abstract concepts rather than getting to where the rubber meets the road?
But what all these concepts amount to is all that matters when it’s all said and done.
