Have you ever met a person or group of people who inspired you to change your course in life? If you have, you know that choosing the different road can be exhilarating…and deeply unsettling. After the magi encountered Jesus, they chose a different road.

In fact, encountering, believing and following Jesus means that we will walk a different road. The good news of Christmas is that God is always with us on that road. Even as we are faced with challenges–the challenge to speak the truth, the challenge to fight for justice, the challenge to live simply and humbly in faith–Jesus is God’s embodied promise to be with us in the flesh.

So what road will you walk?
