The whole premise of the series, The Road Less Traveled, is that Jesus walked roads that no one else would travel to be with people no else would be with.
He did that because God’s redemption is destined to be in every corner of the world in every human heart.
In Matthew 8, Scripture says that Jesus walked a road that literally no one else wanted to travel. Two demon-possessed men were on that road. So, with his disciples, Jesus went way out of his way to confront these demons.
The problem today is that we have a problem talking about our demons. We do more to keep our demons alive than our demons do. Following Jesus means confronting demons. Belonging to Jesus means living into freedom.
